Geelong Cricket Association

Geelong Cricket Association has 37 member clubs playing in 3 divisions. Both turf and hardwicket.

The Geelong region has a long and proud history when it comes to cricket. The first match was played in Geelong in 1841 and the Geelong Cricket Association is one of the largest and oldest country cricket associations in Australia having been established over a century ago for the 1896/97 season. The year 2012 is also significant as it heralds the 150th anniversary that the first English team toured Australia and played against Geelong in Geelong – their only country match during the tour.
Today, the GCA is made up of 37 clubs, divided into three Divisions, 240 senior teams and 209 junior teams competing every week and 2523 registered junior participants.
